111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
This Practice operates as a Primary Care Network of GP Practices, working together to offer patients “extended access” to pre-bookable consultations in the evenings and at the weekends. This is to ensure that patients can access GPs, nurses and other qualified healthcare professionals for routine care at a time that may be more convenient for them.

The pre-bookable consultations will be available as follows:

Thursday evening between 6.30pm and 8.00pm
Saturday (Muxton Surgery) between 9.00am and 5.00pm

Arranging a pre-bookable evening or weekend consultation is easy – just contact reception during normal opening hours and speak to a member of the practice team who will be able to help.

A wide range of consultations are available for routine face-to-face or telephone calls with a GP or with one of our Primary Care Paramedics or Clinical Pharmacists. We are extending the variety of services offered all the time.

Extended Access adds to the existing range of healthcare services already available in Shropshire to help patients outside our usual opening hours, including pharmacies, NHS 111, the walk-in centre, minor injury units and A&E (which is there 24/7 for serious life-threatening issues; please emergenices only).

It isn’t always necessary to see a GP for minor and common conditions – find out how to self-care for these types of conditions on the self-care section of the NHS Shropshire Telford & Wrekin Integrated Care System website:
